Apply to the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards 2012 !

Cartier seeks exceptional entrepreneurs heading initiatives with the potential to grow significantly in the years to come

Women entrepreneurs with projects in the initial stages of development, in any country, of any nationality and operating in any industry are welcome to submit their application

The six Laureates nominated for the Awards will receive an additional year of coaching and US $20,000 in funding. The application period will end on March 13, 2012.

ASE offering a Social Business Development Internship in South Africa

African School for Excellence is looking for a talented Social Entrepreneur to develop business models
that will allow ASE to use its existing resources (school building, logistics capabilities, IT hardware
and software, corporate and scholastic relationships, etc.) to create profitable businesses to
sustain/grow the school.

 Successful candidate(s) will be expected to begin working on this project in Spring 2012, as an
independent study. The internship will occur June-August 2012 at the ASE office in Johannesburg,
during which time ASE will launch a pilot of the project(s) developed during the semester.

AKDN and INSEAD launching an African Case Development Centre in East Africa

The INSEAD Social Innovation Centre, represented by Luk VAN WASSENHOVE and Loïc SADOULET, and the Aga Kan University Graduate School of Media and Communications, represented by Nazeer LADHANI, just signed a 2-year partnership to create The African Case Development Centre based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Centre will be dedicated to strengthening the quality of media education content and pedagogy. INSEAD faculty will bring intellectual resources to develop cases on African companies with exemplary business models identified by AKDN
